Our Mission
The St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Sports Commission is a department of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and is the official sports marketing and management organization for the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area.
Our mission is to generate positive economic impact and promotion of Pinellas County, its cities and businesses through overnight room stays by hosting professional, collegiate, youth and amateur team training & tournaments on a state, regional and national level at our city partner sports facilities.
We will work with our partners in the bid process for competitive sports events that will provide the destination promotion through the media. The Sports Commission will provide the highest quality of services to our partners through our office to ensure quality on-field and off-field experience for both the competitor and fan. We will establish long-term partnerships with our customers to ensure onsistent repeat visitation. Our marketing will support the mission of the CVB and use our superior natural and man-made attractions & facilities in the promotion of our destination to our targeted sports market.
