Ready. Set. Rio!
As a United States Olympic Committee recognized training site for the Rio 2016 Summer Games, St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Florida, is the training destination for Olympic athletes from around the globe. St. Pete/Clearwater, which is located on the Gulf of Mexico 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport, is also home to six Olympic qualifiers, including the FIVB AVP St. Pete Grand Slam, BMX Gator Nationals and three classes of sailing.

Ready, Set, Rio! is the St. Pete/Clearwater Sports & Events initiative to attract Olympic competitors from across the globe to the destination to train for the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. We are a USOC officially sanctioned training site for the upcoming Olympics and we are excited to welcome athletes from across the globe to sunny St. Pete/Clearwater to train for the biggest achievement of all: a Gold medal!
